Who can become a member of the AFP Alumni?
Participants/graduates of the following program are eligible to apply for AFP Alumni membership:
- MOSC/IMOSC
How do I become a member?
To become a member of the AFP Alumni you will need to meet the selection criteria outlined in the How to become a member page. If you meet the requirements for membership for one or more areas:
- Access the AFP Alumni registration form.
- Complete it either manually or electronically.
- Email/fax or send your completed registration form to the AFP Alumni Administration Office for vetting.
- On successful application you will be sent details for login to the AFP Alumni Site through AFPOLL (AFP Online Learning).
Can I become a member if I am not a participant/graduate of AFP Training?
You must be a graduate/trainer/instructor/presenter of MOSC training to become a member of the AFP Alumni. No memberships will be approved to those applicants that do not have their completion of a MOSC training program validated by the AFP Alumni Administration Office.
Can I be a member if I do not have internet access?
You do not need access to the internet to be a member of the AFP Alumni. Members without internet access will be sent the AFP Alumni newsletter on a regular basis. You may also contact the AFP Alumni Administration Office if you have any specific requests regarding AFP Training.
What can the AFP Alumni do for me?
The AFP Alumni provides the opportunity for participants/graduates of AFP training to:
- contact each other;
- with a knowledge building platform where they can engage in on line discussion forums and share their knowledge, skills and experience
- maintain contact with the AFP and receive relevant correspondence
What does my membership entitle me to?
Your membership entitles you to be a part of an International community of Law Enforcement agency members to share valuable knowledge, experience, best practice
What costs are associated with the AFP Alumni membership?
The licensing costs for individual memberships will be met by the AFP.
Will I lose access to the AFP Alumni site if I do not activate my membership regularly?
If you have not accessed the Alumni site within 12 months you will be sent a reminder to utilise the site. If you do not utilise the site within 2 weeks of this reminder email you will lose access to this site.
What do I do if I have forgotten my login details?
- Enter your log in name into AFPOLL
- Select forgotten password
- You should receive an email with your new password.
What do I do if my account becomes inactive?
If your account becomes inactive it will mean that you have not accessed the site within a 12 month period.
How do I reactivate my membership?
- Contact the AFP Alumni Administration Office
- Complete the validation process that you will be sent by the AFP Alumni Administration Office
- Pay the associated reactivation membership cost
Will there be times when I am unable to access the AFP Alumni site?
Essential maintenance may need to be performed on this site for short periods of time. During this time the site will be unavailable for use. The AFP Alumni Administration Office will advise members via email when these outages will occur.
Do I need to enter all details listed on the registration form?
All fields on the AFP Alumni Registration form are important to:
- facilitate communication between members
- facilitate contact with members from the AFP Alumni Administration Office
If you decide not to enter all details you will not gain the full intended benefits. If you do not fill out the fields marked with an * you will not be given membership.
