This is a statement of legal services expenditure by the Australian Federal Police for the 2006-07 financial year, published in compliance with paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Services Directions 2005.
Agency’s total legal services expenditure [GST exclusive] – approximately $4,970,099.25 comprising the following;
Agency’s external legal services expenditure [GST exclusive] - $2,536,052.25
- External expenditure on solicitors - $2,172,948.09
- External expenditure on counsel - $363,104.16
- Briefs to male counsel – 28
- Value of briefs to male counsel - $268,687.53
- Briefs to female counsel – 4
- Value of briefs to female counsel - $94,416.63
Agency’s internal legal services expenditure [GST exclusive] – approximately $2,434,047 including all on-costs.
