ACT Firearms Registry
The ACT Firearms Registry administers ACT firearms legislation and issue firearms licences and permits. They:
- provide information about eligibility requirements for licences, firearms and permits
- provide information about the different kinds of firearms licences available
- issue permits to acquire firearms
- issue firearms licences and permits to individuals, clubs, businesses and firearms dealers
- register firearms to all of the above
- provide information about disposing of or selling firearms
- provide conditions regarding the suspension and cancellation of licences
- provide updates on firearms related matters.

ACT Firearms is open for business between 8:00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays. They are closed between 1.00 to 2.00 pm daily, on public holidays, and on the last Friday of each month for auditing.
