24-year-old to face assault charges

A 24-year-old Bruce man will be summonsed to face court on two assault charges following incidents at an O’Connor licensed premises on Sunday night / Monday morning (July 20-21).
Police will allege the man assaulted two other patrons outside the premises about 11.40pm on Sunday, July 20.
The 24-year-old was interviewed by investigators at City Police Station earlier today (July 23).
He will be summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on a date to be fixed.
In a separate incident, a 22-year-old man from Bruce was also interviewed in relation to an allegation of assault. That investigation is concluded as the complaint has been withdrawn.
