Earth moving vehicles stolen; witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a burglary at a Mitchell business premises which occurred sometime between 5:00pm on Saturday (August 30) and 7:00am on Monday (September 1).

Police were called to the Mitchell Bright Lights Electrical store around 7:30am on Monday (September 1), when it was reported there had been forced entry to the store’s compound via a rolling security gate. Two vehicles were taken during the burglary including a Hino 300 Series dump truck and a Posi-track RC30 Bobcat. A selection of tools was also taken.

The approximate combined value of the items stolen is more than $90,000.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in the area of Baillieu Court, Mitchell, over the weekend to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
