Police investigate Civic incident

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are investigating an incident in Civic earlier today (Saturday, August 30) where an 18-year-old female pedestrian was allegedly struck by a vehicle.
Police were called to Hutton Street around 1.20am after members of the public discovered an unconscious female on the road.
The female was transported from the scene to The Canberra Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A 28-year-old Harrison woman is currently assisting investigators with their enquiries.
Police have seized a vehicle for forensic examination.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been in the vicinity of Hutton Street or Childers Street between 12.30am and 1.20am today (Saturday) to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
