Police seek witnesses to Woden assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on a 62-year-old Wanniassa man which occurred sometime between 3pm and 4pm yesterday (September 18).
The incident is alleged to have taken place in the male public toilets at the Woden bus interchange on Bradley Street.
The victim had numerous cuts around his eyes, nose and mouth and was taken to Canberra Hospital. The victim is described as around 5’9” (175cm) tall, of average build, with short grey hair and a moustache. He was wearing a pale blue jumper, blue jeans and brown shoes.
AFP Forensic Services conducted an examination of the scene.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed a man matching the above description at the Woden bus interchange yesterday afternoon or anyone acting suspicious in the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report online via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
