Police seize over $100,000 in drugs and property

Friday, 26 September 2008

ACT Policing executed a search warrant on a Conder residence today (Friday, September 26), resulting in the seizure of substances suspected to be crystal methyl amphetamine (ice) and MDMA (ecstasy), as well as firearms, cash and property.

Detectives from ACT Policing’s Territory Investigation Group (TIG), Property Crime and Drug teams were involved in the Drugs of Dependence Act search warrant, which was executed around 6.30am today.

Police found more than 220 grams of a drug suspected to be crystal methyl amphetamine (ice), around 50 tablets suspected to be MDMA (ecstasy), a taser gun, two rifles, a homemade extendable baton and a small amount of another drug suspected to be heroin.

Police also seized a white Mazda RX7 vehicle and a red Ducati 2008 motorcycle, plus a sum of cash, all suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Police have identified a 26-year-old man who is wanted for questioning in relation to the property and drugs seizures.
