Witnesses sought to Chisholm assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on a woman in Chisholm early today.
Around 3am today, the victim had been conducting commercial deliveries in Glencross Street Chisholm when she was grabbed from behind by the male offender.
The victim retaliated and the offender then ran off in a northerly direction toward Isabella Drive.
The offender was described as Caucasian, approximately 183cm (about 6’) in height, wearing a short dark-sleeved shirt, dark jeans and had short dark hair.
General Duties patrol officers established cordons of the area and a K9 team was used to assist in the search, but the offender was not located.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed a male acting suspiciously in the Chisholm area in the early hours of this morning and may be able to assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report online via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
