Witnesses sought to hit and run at Wanniassa

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged hit and run collision in Carr Crescent, Wanniassa early this morning (Friday, August 22).
About 3am, a man was found lying in the middle of the road, unconscious with serious head injuries. He was treated by ACT Ambulance officers but was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police believe that the vehicle involved may have been a white Mitsubishi Lancer sedan.
Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, who may have seen a white Mitsubishi Lancer sedan in the area or who may have any other information which would assist the police investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online to www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
