What attracted you to the AFP?
I joined the APS because of what the job entailed and the role of the Protective Service Officer and the opportunities that it entailed. I joined as a PSO1. I started working at Parliament House and then went to Canberra Airport and then became a Bomb Appraisal Officer and was promoted there. I have been on overseas deployments and undertaken temporary transfers to other Aviation stations. I have also done some project work. I worked in Aviation Governance. I am now working as the Team Leader for Counter Terrorist First Response – the capability for all PSO’s in Airports.
What are your impressions so far?
It’s fantastic – a lot of opportunities. You can do just about anything you want to do.
