What attracted you to the AFP ?
The AFP are one only a few Police bodies to employ civilian crime scene examiners. So I knew potentially I could go straight into crime scenes the area which I was most interested in. I knew there was potential for interstate and overseas travel within the job which greatly interested me.
What are your impressions so far ?
I've been been with Forensic Operations for about 3 1/2 years now. I've got to work interstate and internationally including being deployed to Sydney for APEC and teaching in Indonesia. I love the diversity of the job, getting to travel and the chance to meet new people every day. I've done so much training since being employed with the AFP and developed so many new skills, its been great! I'm looking forward to more deployments my next big crime scene.
