Forensic and Technical
The Forensic and Technical team provides a range of scientific services to support outcomes for AFP and ACT Policing, as well as other Commonwealth agencies and State/Territory law enforcement bodies. The AFP's forensic services have two main groups, field services and laboratory services.
Field services include the armoury, crime scene investigation, fingerprints, forensic firearms & ballistics and physical evidence teams.
Laboratory services include biological criminalistics, chemical criminalistics, document examination and forensic imaging.
