What attracted you to the AFP?
From a very young age I was intrigued with police. My first tricycle was a police motor bike. As I got older my Uncle, who was a Senior Sergeant in the Victoria Police inspired me. He was an admirable man both in and out of uniform.
What are your impressions so far?
I have been in the AFP for nearly 8 years and have had the opportunity to work in a vast range of areas and every day is a journey. I have developed extensive skills through exposure to a diverse range of investigations and operational experiences. I have been attached to areas including Response, Airport Investigations, Currency, Operations (drugs, fraud and money laundering) and Economic and Special Crime. Most recently I was attached to Counter Terrorism for two and a half years where I was deployed as an investigator in both Jakarta and Manila and played a family liaison role in Bali for Australian families that attended the Bali Commemorations. I am currently attached to Recruit Training where I can impart the knowledge and life experiences I have developed through the AFP.
